‘Shang-Chi’ Star Simu Liu Trolls Fans With Hilarious Green Lantern Edit

Simu Liu Green Lantern Shang-Chi

Shang-Chi star Simu Liu has proven to be quite the troll with his latest tweet that shows an edit of him rocking the Green Lantern suit.

Ever since Simu Liu joined the Marvel family as Shang-Chi, he’s been frequently seen cracking jokes and having an all around good time. With production on Shang-Chi suspended due to the coronavirus, Simu Liu is stuck at home just like the rest of. However, he’s been using his quarantine time to good use by joking around with fans on social media. Just last week, the Shang-Chi star shared his hardcore Marvel home workout routine, which saw him pretty much just vegging around and playing video games. And now, the Canadian actor and comedian has shared a suit reveal on Twitter, except it isn’t one of Shang-Chi. Following in the footsteps of fellow Canadian Ryan Reynolds, Liu has taken on the role of Green Lantern, even if it’s just to troll fans.

You can check out Simu Liu’s tweet below.

It’s genuinely hilarious that Simu Liu chose the Green Lantern suit of all superhero costumes to have an edit of. We’re not sure why he decided to adopt the Green Lantern suit but it could be an homage to Ryan Reynolds, another superhero actor who happens to troll his fans quite often. The Shang-Chi actor followed up on the hilarious Green Lantern troll by stating that he put on the wrong suit.

Details are currently slim on Shang-Chi, and will continue to be so as the film has paused its production alongside most major films. In the comics, Shang-Chi is seen rocking a red jumpsuit that has a silver-greyish chest lining. The suit is simple and realistic enough in the comics that it could easily make the jump to the big screen if that’s the route the creative team wants to go down.
