Believe in the promises God puts in your 💜 ~I’ve always loved female action hero's. Their strength, confidence or vulnerability-but ability to endure against all odds to make something better for someone else. About 7years ago I became obsessed w/ female action & superhero’s. I was determined to be one. Partially because I loved the toughness displayed but ultimately because I didn’t see enough representation, let alone women in this genre at all. Certainly not enough women of color activating in this space. Not enough examples for “all” little girls to look up, see themselves & feel like they can conquer the world -that sky is not even the limit. I was believing for the opportunity to expand that representation. One day my husband said to me “what are you doing to meet God halfway?”.. this stumped me for a minute ..I had been believing for 4 years.. getting opportunities here & there & fully expected it to happen ..but I was also afraid of it. Sometimes we are more comfortable “believing for" then actually receiving. I realized I was going to have to do more.. I was going to have to courageously & unapologetically believe “I’m worthy" & meet God halfway for the thing I was believing Him for. I was going to have to walk out “faith without works is dead”. At 34 I started my working out w/ my trainer Mike T, 5-6 times a week. I started learning Taekwondo & Capoeira. A year and a half later? .. this happen.. I cried & screamed out to God in the middle of a strip mall when I got the news. I know it’s God & God only. I did the work but He brought the opportunity & for a girl who’s heard “not you” more often than not, I know “He” hired me. God knows my 💜 is to show every little girl that they are worthy of greatness & capable of anything they believe for. Crazy.. I always wanted a figurine ..now I have three. God has blown my mind! He’s still in the miracle business ✨🙏🏾.. there’s no other way this little girl from Santa Clarita, with all of my journey & story would otherwise get here. Father wherever you take me, I will go with a heart to magnify You over me always. Thank you for using me as an example of answered prayer …Your plan over everything. Don’t give up! ⚡️

Here is the official synopsis for Shazam!:
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).
Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans and Djimon Hounsou.
Shazam! is now playing in theaters.
