Shazam! director David F. Sandberg has released a new behind-the-scenes video detailing how they resolved certain issues that arose during production.
DC’s Shazam! was released to acclaim from audiences who appreciated the humor and comparatively lighter tone of the most recent DCEU film. However, as with any film, errors and conflicts occurred during production that required creative resolutions from the Shazam! team.
Now, director David F. Sandberg has released a new video detailing how the Shazam! crew resolved a few of these problems that occurred both during and after production. Topics covered include how visible crew members were digitally altered to become patrons during the shopping mall fight between Shazam and Dr. Sivina as well as a reasonable explanation for why the Marvel family kids had to put on winter jackets despite immediately going back inside their house.

A Shazam! sequel is reportedly in development with Henry Gayden set to pen the script and David F. Sandberg expected to return as director.
Here’s the official synopsis for Shazam!:
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).
Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans and Djimon Hounsou.
Shazam! is now available on Digital HD and will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD release on July 16.
