‘She-Hulk’ Showrunner Explains Why Series Added ‘Attorney At Law’ To Title

You'll never believe who was behind it...

She-Hulk Attorney At Law Tatiana Maslany

She-Hulk showrunner Jessica Gao revealed why the series added Attorney at Law to its title.

When She-Hulk was first announced at D23 in 2019, that was all there was to its title for quite some time. However, the first trailer for She-Hulk that was released in May revealed that the MCU series would carry the subtitle, Attorney at Law.

Why Did She-Hulk Change Its Title?

The first solo outings for Marvel heroes usually come without a subtitle. Still, it has happened before with Captain America: The First Avenger, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. While speaking to Lifehacker Australia, She-Hulk head writer Jessica Gao revealed the Attorney at Law addition to the title came from the Marvel man himself, Kevin Feige:

“We always had the line in the show where Bruce says ‘She-Hulk attorney at law, it’s got a nice ring to it.’ And one day we were watching cuts and when it got to that scene Kevin just said ‘that’s a great title for a show, that should be the title of the show,’ And that’s it. You know when the golden tongue of Kevin Feige speaks then it becomes canon and that’s really how it happened.”

Here is the synopsis for the newest MCU original series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law:

“She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also appens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.”

Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law stars Tatiana Maslany, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth, Benedict Wong, Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass, and Renée Elise Goldsberry.

New episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law hit every Thursday on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the new MCU Disney Plus series, and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
