The new MCU Disney Plus series She-Hulk is rumored to have creative issues in post-production.

Marvel Studios is set to release a few new original MCU Disney Plus series this year. Next week, we get the series premiere of Moon Knight, along with highly-anticipated new shows such as Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk and Secret Invasion also set to hit the service this year. We have yet to see a trailer for She-Hulk and Secret Invasion, although footage for both those series were teased during Disney Plus day last November.

Fans are curious to hear more about Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk, however, a recent report from industry reporter Jeff Sneider may lead some to be concerned. According to the reporter, who made a recent appearance on The Hot Mic podcast alongside John Rocha, he has heard that the MCU series may have some creative issues amidst the post-production process, but he also clarified that those behind-the-scenes may have said the same thing when Guardians of the Galaxy was being made, and that film went on to become a critical and commercial success:

“I’ve heard not good things behind-the-scenes… and I’ve asked whether it’s Moon Knight or Ms. Marvel or Secret Invasion or any of these [projects], they are always like, ‘She-Hulk is the one that could be a problem… I’ve heard it from people working on it, from people actually working on it who are just like, ‘We’ll see.’ I think that’s a lot of Marvel things, honestly, and you know where it’s just like, ‘Ugh, this could be really stupid, like we’ll see.’ I’m sure people making Guardians of the Galaxy felt that way, right? And most of the time [Marvel] pulls it out. But there will come a time where they won’t, that’s just the laws of moviemaking, the laws of numbers.”

For the most part, the MCU has been pretty successful with critics and audiences, not having a “Rotten” film or series on Rotten Tomatoes until Chloe Zhao’s Eternals, which immediately became the most polarizing entry in the franchise. Here’s hoping that if this report from Jeff Sneider is only a rumor, and that the She-Hulk series turns out to be an entertaining introduction to a new MCU hero.

Marvel Studios hasn’t shared too many She-Hulk details yet, but Kevin Feige described She-Hulk as a “half-hour legal comedy.” Kate Gao served as the head writer on the Disney Plus series, with Kat Cario and Anu Valia directing the ten-episode season.

She-Hulk stars Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Jameela Jamil as Titania, and Tim Roth as the Abomination. Ginger Gonzaga and Renee Elise Goldsberry are also part of the cast.

She-Hulk will debut on Disney Plus in 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the upcoming MCU Disney Plus series, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
