The premiere of Solo: A Star Wars Story has received very positive feedback from critics and members of the Star Wars legacy. The films box office success is almost guaranteed which brings up the question, will there be a sequel?

Solo is still a few weeks from its opening weekend but the talk of sequels is already in the air. The film’s pre-ticket sales have outdone box office juggernaut Black Panther which bodes very well for the Star Wars spinoff film. This topic of another Solo film came up in an interview with the film’s cast by ET Canada. Ron Howard and Alden Ehrenreich were both asked about their thoughts on the chances of the Star Wars universe getting a Solo sequel. You can check out the video below.

There are no definite plans for a sequel at this point, but Howard makes a good point in saying that it is up to the fans. If the reception is good and the box office return is up to par with Disney tentpoles, a sequel could very much become a reality. Especially since the films main star, Ehrenreich, sounds very much into the prospect of suiting up as the pilot of the Millenium Falcon once again. Before fans can even get a sequel, they will have to wait until May 25th when Han Solo’s origin story hits theaters.
