This Sonic the Hedgehog movie redesign gives the iconic video game speedster the look fans deserve.
After Paramount Pictures revealed the first official look at the design for Sonic in his upcoming first-ever live-action movie, the production was met with so much backlash that director Jeff Fowler announced himself the film would be pushed back from its initial release date of November 8, 2019, to February 14, 2020 in order to give the animators enough time to completely redesign Sonic’s look for the film.
Ben Schwartz, who voices the iconic SEGA character, then teased that the redesign for Sonic would be much closer to his classic video game form that what we saw in the first trailer. The original Sonic design was harshly criticized for its teeth, face, and body. While Paramount has yet to reveal the new design for Sonic, fans are taking matters into their own hands and giving the speedster the look he deserves. Digital artist dillpill702 has given taken the movie’s Sonic design and given him a more game-accurate look featuring bigger eyes, gloves, and his iconic sneakers. You can check it out below!

(Left my edit) I usually don't make two posts in a day but I wanted to try my own take on Sonic for the new live action film🌀 This wasn't made to disrespect any artist who worked on the film but rather just a fun attempt make him look closer to is cartoon counterpart. What I learned…..making shit is hard and I can't even begin to imagine how artist translate cartoons to live action 😓😶 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #sonicthehedgehog #sonic #sega #sonicmemes #sonicmovie #eggman #tails #mariobros #Photoshop #design #2019 #news #paramount
