Sony Moves ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Release Date Up

Phase 4 will start even earlier as Sony announced on Wednesday Spider-Man: Far From Home will now hit theaters on July 2.

Sony has already debuted the first Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer, but the studio was careful with what they revealed in the footage. Sony’s Spider-Man: Far From Home is the first film of Marvel Studios’ Phase 4 and takes place right after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Another trailer from Sony isn’t expected until after Avengers: Endgame. Spider-Man: Far From Home is still scheduled to come out two months after Avengers: Endgame, but Sony announced the film will now hit theaters Tuesday, July 2 instead of July 5.

Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, the film stars Tom Holland, Jake Gyllenhaal, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, Numan Acar, J.B. Smoove, Oli Hill, Remy Hii, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Cobie Smulders, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released in theaters on July 2, 2019.
