Sony is looking for someone who can sound just-like Vin Diesel for the upcoming Bloodshot.
Vin Diesel is starring and producing Bloodshot, a superhero film that focuses on a marine who is resurrected via nanotechnology. Sony, the company behind the superhero film is seeking someone who can imitate Vin Diesel’s iconic voice right down to a T. Sony put out a casting call which was later obtained by The Hollywood Reporter that outlines the role.
Seeing as Vin Diesel is in Bloodshot, you might be wondering why Sony is casting someone who sounds just like him for the film. Well, it turns out that the studio is seeking a Vin Diesel sound-alike for Bloodshot because they need someone to fill in lines for him for an upcoming test screening. In the final screening of the film, the voiceover work will be done by Vin Diesel himself.
Obviously, Vin Diesel is a busy man these days filming Fast and Furious and can’t afford to go into a voice-booth for Bloodshot, even though that was literally his role in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Here is the official synopsis for Bloodshot:
After he and his wife are murdered, Marine Ray Garrison (played by Vin Diesel) is resurrected by a secret team of scientists. Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine – “Bloodshot.” As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers, he cannot recall anything from his former life. But when his memories flood back and he remembers the man that killed both he and his beautiful wife, he breaks out of the facility hellbent on revenge, only to discover that there’s more to the conspiracy than he thought.
Directed by Dave Wilson from a script written by Jeff Wadlow and Eric Heisserer, Bloodshot stars Vin Diesel, Sam Heughan, Guy Pearce, Eiza González, Toby Kebbell, Talulah Riley, Alex Hernandez, Lamorne Morris and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson.
Bloodshot is scheduled to be released in theaters on February 21, 2020.
