Sophia Di Martino Cast In Tom Hiddleston’s Loki Disney+ Series

Variety is reporting that actress Sophia Di Martino has been cast in Tom Hiddleston’s upcoming Disney Plus series Loki. 

The role in Loki reportedly was heavily contested and Sophia Di Martino beat out a several other actors and will now join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Details on Sophia Di Martino’s role in the new series remain unknown.

Sophia Di Martino is known for her role in the British sitcom, Flowers which is available to stream on Netflix. Earlier this year, Sophia Di Martino appeared in her first role in a big studio film, Danny Boyle’s Yesterday alongside Himesh Patel and Lily James.

Sophia Di Martino is the first confirmed cast member to join Tom Hiddleston in this upcoming series for Thor’s adoptive brother Loki, the God of Mischief. With the casting of Sophia Di Martino, don’t be surprised to hear more news on Loki castings in the near future.

Tom Hiddleston’s Loki series is said to follow the character as he travels through time and becomes embroiled in major historical events. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige also confirmed Loki will tie into the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

In addition to Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, Marvel Studios slate of Disney Plus shows includes The Falcon and the Winter SoldierWandaVisionWhat If?HawkeyeMoon KnightShe-Hulk, and Ms. Marvel.

Loki is scheduled to debut on Disney Plus in early 2021.

DC Universe Debuts ‘Doom Patrol’ Character Posters

Doom PatrolAlong with the premiere of the first teaser for Doom Patrol, DC Universe also debuted a collection of character posters for each of the members of perhaps the strangest team of characters to be adapted in live-action form for DC Comics.

In particular, these new character posters highlight Timothy Dalton's The Chief, Diane Guerrero's Crazy Jane, Joivan Wade's Cyborg, April Bowlby's Elasti-Woman, Matt Bomer's Negative Man and Brendan Fraser's Robotman. These posters each follow unique designs that reflect the nature of each character and tease unique personalities amongst the group as well.
