Sony Pictures has released the second trailer for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Far From Home, and it’s packed with spoilers about Iron Man’s role in Avengers: Endgame.
A brand new trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home made its debut this morning, confirming that Tom Holland’s next cinematic solo outing as the iconic Marvel character takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The sneak peek opens with Tom Holland warning audiences that the preview features spoilers for the recently-released conclusion to the 22-film “Infinity Saga,” and some of those spoilers are references to the death of Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man.
The new Spider-Man sneak peek begins with Tom Holland’s Peter Parker crying as he looks at a mural featuring Iron Man, who sacrificed his life in Avengers: Endgame while using the Infinity Stones to snap Thanos and his army out of existence. The trailer then switches to another scene with Peter and Jon Favreau’s Happy Hogan trying to move on following Iron Man’s death. Later on, Peter says that “the world needs the next Iron Man” before another scene shows the character looking at a touching tribute to the fallen Avenger. Those are just some of Avengers: Endgame spoilers in the latest Far From Home trailer.
In Far From Home, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man comes face to face with the iconic comic book villain Mysterio. Details on the plot are currently under wraps, though the film will follow Peter as he joins his friends on a summer vacation in Europe. Introduced in The Amazing Spider-Man #13, the best known incarnation of Mysterio is a special effects wizard named Quentin Beck and the character has been a frequent foe for the web-head since his debut.
