A brand new Spider-Man: No Way Home television spot for the Chinese market features brief new footage of Spidey hanging onto a mysterious box given to him by Doctor Strange.

It was recently confirmed that Spider-Man: No Way Home had secured a release in China, making it the first film in Marvel’s Phase 4 to do so. To get the Chinese market reacquainted with Spidey, Marvel has released a brand new television spot for the region. The sneak peek mostly consists of footage we’ve previously seen, though there is new dialogue from Doctor Strange as he chants out his spell to change the world’s memory surrounding Spider-Man’s identity.

You can check out the Spider-Man: No Way Home promo below.

The TV spot also features a brief look at Spider-Man as he enters the mirror dimension, holding a mysterious box that seemingly belongs to Doctor Strange. It’s unclear just how important this box is, though fans have already begun to speculate and believe the key to the multiverse lies in the box, with everyone, including the villains, trying to get their hands on it. It’s still unclear how Doctor Strange “breaks” the multiverse and brings all the other villains into this universe, but we’re ready to see what director Jon Watts has cooked up.

Here is the synopsis for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home:

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is umasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.”

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Alfred Molina.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit theaters on December 17, 2021. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the film, as well as what’s going on in Marvel Studios’ Multiverse, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
