Here’s Why Spider-Man Swinging In New York Was Saved For The End Of ‘Far From Home’

During an interview with ComicBook.com, Spider-Man: Far From Home producer Amy Pascal explained why they saved showing Spidey swinging through New York City until the end of the film.

As with the comics, seeing Spider-Man swinging from building to building in New York City has become a staple of the wall-crawler’s feature films. However, both Spider-Man: Homecoming and Far From Home did not feature any scenes of Tom Holland’s wall-crawler swinging by the skyscrapers of New York. According to franchise producer Amy Pascal, this was a deliberate decision as the creators wanted to save such an iconic moment for when Tom Holland’s Spider-Man had earned it:

“That was the design. That, finally, at the end when you see him. Because we had rules about never having him swing in New York, from Homecoming in the beginning, when Kevin and I first started talking about doing this together. Finally, we felt we’ve earned the right to see him swing around New York City. And boy, doesn’t that look awesome?”
