The Spider-Man: Far From Home suit may have been based on unused concept art for Homecoming.

Recent Spider-Man: Far From Home set photos and videos revealed that the wall-crawler will be getting a new red and black costume for his second solo MCU adventure. However, it appears the new costume may have been based on a concept design for Spider-Man: Homecoming created by Ryan Meinerding. The Marvel concept artist’s red and black costume designs are remarkably similar to the new Far From Home outfit and you check them below to judge for yourself!

Details on the plot are currently under wraps, though the film will follow Peter Parker as he joins his friends on a summer vacation in Europe and features the classic Marvel villain Mysterio. Introduced in The Amazing Spider-Man #13, the most well-known incarnation of Mysterio is a special effects wizard named Quentin Beck and the character has been a frequent foe for the web-head since his debut.

Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Jake Gyllenhaal, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, Numan Acar, J.B. Smoove, Oli Hill, Remy Hii, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Cobie Smulders, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released in theaters on July 5, 2019.
