Deadline has revealed that actresses Garcelle Beauvais and Tiffany Espensen are the latest additions to the ever-growing cast of Marvel and Sony’s highly anticipated Spider-Man: Homecoming, which is currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia.
While no details were provided on their roles, Beauvais has already been spotted on the set of the movie dressed as a teacher, so my best guess would be that Espensen is playing one of Peter Parker’s classmates at Midtown School of Science & Technology. In the past couple of weeks, we’ve seen many actors joining the cast of the project, but that does make sense considering that they have to fill out a whole High School.
The two actresses join a cast that already features Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Laura Harrier, Michael Barbieri, Abraham Attah, Kenneth Choi, Logan Marshall-Green, Martin Starr, Hannibal Buress, Bokeem Woodbine, Michael Mando, Selenis Leyva and many newcomers. No official casting announcement has been revealed yet, but that obviously can’t be too far away. One thing’s for sure though: that’s going to be a long cast list.
Directed by Jon Watts from a script by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein, Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7, 2017. Are you excited for the movie?
