‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Apparently Adds UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley

Over the weekend, Tom Holland was spotted at UFC 201 in Atlanta and while many would might have assumed the Spider-Man: Homecoming star was simply at the event for leisure, it appears that wasn’t the only reason for Holland to be there. Tyron Woodley, who won the welterweight championship at the event, stopped by the MMA Hour and revealed that he’s going to be working on the Jon Watts directed film in later this week.

“I don’t know if I can even say this. but I’m working on a Marvel movie on Thursday in Atlanta.”

Obviously, much like the rest of the cast, we currently don’t have any details regarding his role in the film at the moment. This isn’t  Woodley’s first time in front of the camera though as the has done stunt work on both Straight Outta Compton &  Olympus Has Fallen and has roles in Kickboxer: Vengeance and the upcoming

While there’s every chance he could just be doing stunt work, it seems more likely that the UFC champion could have a role in the film. Woodley isn’t the first MMA fighter to have a role in a minor Marvel Studios release and joins Georges St-Pierre who appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier as ‘Batroc The Leaper’.
