While it had been previously rumored a little while back, it sounds like Spider-Man: Homecoming might just indeed be the title of the upcoming 2017 Marvel Studios & Sony reboot of the franchise. Birth.Movies.Death are reporting that their sources are telling them that is the title that they are “working with at the moment”. We may very well find out the title later today during Sony’s presentation at Cinemacon. With that presentation quickly approaching and that possibility in the air, wouldn’t doubt this information being accurate at the moment.
Included in this new report is some possible details about one of the villains appaearing in the Jon Watts directed film. According to their sources, expect to see Adrian Toomes aka ‘The Vulture’ making an appearance. Now, there are no details just how classic member of the Sinister Six fits into the scheme of things, than their sources do tell them that he won’t be a “main villain”. It’s nice to see the inclusion of the character as it presents something fresh while also classic at the same time. Now the big question is: who will be the film’s main villain? Sound off with your thoughts on this news in the comments section below.
UPDATE: Sony has confirmed at Cinemacon that Spider-Man: Homecoming is indeed the 2017 film’s title and have revealed the official logo.
