‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’: Official Image Of Iron Spider Suit Released

Tom Holland Spider-Man Captain America Civil War

Spider-Man: Homecoming concluded with Tony Stark offering Peter Parker a spot on the Avengers complete with new high-tech suit, which the young hero then turned down, at least for the time being. Now, Columbia Pictures has released a new high-resolution image of the Iron Spider suit.

In an interview with Art of VFX, visual effects supervisor Dominik Zimmerle hinted that we could see Peter Parker wear the new costume in the future:

“The new Spider-Man suit was actually designed for one of the next installments of the MCU and models and textures were done by Framestore.”

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Directed by Jon Watts, the film stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Michael Chernus, Kenneth Choi, Hannibal Buress, Martin Starr, Michael Barbieri, Angourie Rice, Abraham Attah, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr.
