During a Reddit AMA, Marvel president Kevin Feige confirmed that Spider-Man: Homecoming and The Incredible Hulk share a connection.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one the most popular movie franchises of all time with its 22 films having garnered billions of dollars and worldwide acclaim. However, one film that stands out from the pack for not the best reasons is The Incredible Hulk. While The Incredible Hulk isn’t a bad film, it is often a forgotten chapter of the MCU’s history. Recently, Marvel has made efforts to acknowledge the film with the reintroduction of William Hurt’s General Ross as the new secretary of defense in Captain America: Civil War. However, it seems that the long-forgotten film may also have connection to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man series.
Martin Starr is best known to Marvel Cinematic Universe fans for playing a character named Roger Harrington, Peter Parker’s science teacher and the head of the Academic Decathlon Team at his school in Spider-Man: Homecoming. However, Starr also appeared in The Incredible Hulk, playing the college student Bruce Banner delivers pizza to while sneaking into Culver University. In a recent Reddit AMA, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was asked if we can assume the two are the same character. Here’s his reply:
“I do.”
This response shows that the film is still very much part of the MCU. Are there any other The Incredible Hulk characters you’d like to see return? What forgotten Marvel character do you want to see in the MCU again? Let us know in the comments down below!
