Following the online controversy surrounding the fan-film Spider-Man: Lotus, VFX artists working on the project have shared a stunning web-swinging sequence from the now-canceled project.
Spider-Man: Lotus rose to heights that few fan-films could dream of, with countless online fans discussing and awaiting the film’s debut. However, leaked DMs featuring horrific racist language from the film’s director Gavin J. Konop and star Warden Wayne became the project’s undoing.
While the future of Spider-Man: Lotus is now uncertain, the fan-film’s VFX artists have released a video showing an incredible CGI web-swinging sequence from the film.
Spider-Man: Lotus VFX Give The MCU A Run For Its Money
The new video from Spider-Man: Lotus has stunned fans, with many saying it looks better than similar scenes seen in Marvel’s Spider-Man movies. The two are cetainly of comparable quality.
The VFX sequence shows Spider-Man swinging through New York, using a true-to-life CGI recreation of the fan-film’s Spider-Man suit. The scene looks real enough to feature in a major studio blockbuster and many fans will likely be saddened that they are now unlikely to see it in the context of the finished fan-film.
