Today, the extremely anticipated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film is swinging into theatres worldwide, and is already receiving an immense amount of love from both critics and general moviegoers alike. Viewers are raving about the film’s incredible themes, heartfelt emotions, and the humor. Speaking of the comedy, there is a scene in Into the Spider-Verse that hilariously pokes fun at a hated scene in Sam Raimi’s 2007 film Spider-Man 3, starring Tobey Maguire.
The now infamous scene from the film has Peter Parker on the streets of New York City dancing and snapping his fingers much to the hilarity of citizens. This happens after Parker gets infected with the symbiote earlier, which gives him a considerably higher amount of confidence.
Into the Spider-Verse has a montage sequence where we learn of the story of Peter Parker / Spider-Man, where we then see the same exact dance from Spider-Man 3 replicated here except in animation format. Even though it is definitely a quick moment in the big film, fans of the character are sure to get quite the kick out of this scene, especially if you are somebody that thinks the scene from the 2007 film was hilarious.
