On the Maltin On Movies podcast on Nerdist, Kevin Feige spoke about Stan Lee’s cameos.

“Most recently he flew to Atlanta and shot four cameos in one day for upcoming projects, one of which I think is maybe the best one we’ve ever done. It’s a high bar for Stan.”

Known for his cameo roles that span throughout most Marvel productions, Lee has been filming his cameo scenes in advance as of late. As he ages, Lee wants to get as many cameo appearances done as possible. However, with that information, it’s clear that the picture with Gillan was taken either before or after he shot his cameos.

As for Gillan, Nebula will next be seen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 which comes out this summer. Multiple characters from Guardians of the Galaxy are confirmed for Avengers: Infinity War, including Nebula, Star-Lord, Groot, Gamora, Drax, and Rocket.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is directed by James Gunn and hits theaters on May 5.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Josh Brolin, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, and other members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018.
