A new promotional image for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker from the 2019 Licensing Expo offers fans a fresh look at Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is one of the most hotly anticipated films of the year. 2019 seems to be the year many franchises are coming to an end as seen in projects like Avengers: Endgame, Dark Phoenix, and Game of Thrones. However, fans can expect one more major series to end with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, with the film serving as the final act of the Skywalker saga.
With the end of an era soon approaching, fans are trying to taper their expectations following backlash to the film’s predecessors — Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi — not pleasing everyone. As it stands, many fans were unhappy with the character arcs in the second film and are hoping for some more development in The Rise of Skywalker.
One character many fans want to see more from is Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren. Adam Driver made his debut as Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Force Awakens before reprising his role as one of the main villains of the new series in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Now, Kylo Ren fans can rejoice as a new promo image for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has surfaced online, giving us another look at Adam Driver fully suited up and ready for action. The new image shows Kylo Ren with his helmet from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. However, there is one major difference about Ren’s look from previous installments. We still know very little about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. However, the marketing campaign for the film will kick into full effect soon. With the film set to hit theaters this December, many fans are marking their calendars for the final episode in the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Jessica Chastain. Here's the film's synopsis:
“This is the story of one of the X-Men’s most beloved characters, Jean Grey, as she evolves into the iconic DARK PHOENIX. During a life-threatening rescue mission in space, Jean is hit by a cosmic force that transforms her into one of the most powerful mutants of all. Wrestling with this increasingly unstable power as well as her own personal demons, Jean spirals out of control, tearing the X-Men family apart and threatening to destroy the very fabric of our planet. The film is the most intense and emotional X-Men movie ever made. It is the culmination of 20 years of X-Men movies, as the family of mutants that we’ve come to know and love must face their most devastating enemy yet — one of their own.”
