Chewbacca actor Joonas Suotamo has recently shared a fake audition to take over the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi in time for the character’s Star Wars show.

Earlier this year, Lucasfilm revealed that Ewan McGregor would be reprising his role as Obi-Wan in a Disney Plus series set between Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: A New Hope. However, Chewbacca’s new actor, Joonas Suotamo, has shared a fake audition for the series to his followers on Instagram, which starts out fairly normal before getting a bit bizarre.

Joonas Suotamo took on the role of Chewbacca starting with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, where he acted out various physical scenes that Peter Mayhew was unable to perform due to his knee replacement that occurred a year before that movie started filming. Afterwards, Joonas Suotamo was on full time Chewbacca duty, portraying the character across Star Wars: The Last JediSolo: A Star Wars Story, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which was finished after Peter Mayhew died. While further Chewbacca appearances are unconfirmed at this time, it is likely that Joonas Suotamo will portray the character again. His chances of doing that are certainly better than his chances of playing Obi-Wan, anyway.

Directed by J. J. Abrams, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, Keri Russell, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Ian McDiarmid, and Billy Dee Williams. Carrie Fisher also appears as General Leia Organa through the use of previously unreleased footage shot for previous Star Wars films.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is now playing in theaters.
