Disney Plus has released a brand new promo and two new posters for the upcoming Star Wars series The Book of Boba Fett.
It’s hard to believe that Boba Fett is finally getting his own solo Star Wars series. First introduced in the Star Wars Holiday Special, Boba Fett made his formal, cinematic debut in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Since then, the character has been a mainstay for the franchise and was resurrected in The Mandalorian‘s second season. Now, the character is set to grace his own solo series, which sees him taking over Jabba’s throne on Tatooine.
The brand new promo for the series is filled with brand new footage, which includes Boba Fett in a bacta tank, hinting at this resurrection after he parlayed with the Sarlacc Pit in Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi.
The Disney Plus series also received two new character posters that shed the light on Boba Fett and Fennec Shand, who has been tagging along with the bounty hunter since The Mandalorian.
Here is the synopsis for the upcoming Star Wars series:
The Book of Boba Fett, a thrilling Star Wars adventure, finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the Galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.
Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, and Kathleen Kennedy are all executive producers on The Mandalorian spinoff with episodes directed by Rodriguez, Favreau, Filoni, and Bryce Dallas Howard. The series stars Temuera Morrison, Ming-Na Wen, and Jennifer Beals.
The Book of Boba Fett will arrive on December 29 on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the future of the Star Wars franchise on Disney Plus and the big screen. You can also subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content!
