Star Wars: Episode IX does not land in theaters until this December, but the project is currently filming and John Boyega recently let us in on a little behind-the-scenes action.
Via his Instagram, John Boyega shared a picture taken on the set of Star Wars Episode XI of his hands bloodied and dirtied. The actor praised the hardworking cast and crew:
“Great working day on set!! The whole team pushed themselves today to achieve something visually crazy! I’ve had many moments of shock on set but not like today and I can’t wait until you know why”
Check out the post yourself below:
Although he cannot speak directly to what he is referencing, by the look of John Boyega’s hands and mention of something visually crazy, it is probably safe to assume he is speaking about some sort of stunt. Outside his hands, the rest of the image gives no other clues or context to what the actor is talking about (darn those forward-thinking LucasFilm social media experts!).
Do you agree with this assessment, is John Boyega referencing some sort of physical stunt? Or, perhaps, could there be more to the story that we just cannot possibly know yet? Hit us up in the comments below and share your thoughts on the upcoming Star Wars Episode IX with us!
Star Wars: Episode IX stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, Keri Russell, Matt Smith, Dominic Monaghan, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, and Mark Hamill.
