‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ Set Photo Reveals First Look At Orange X-Wing

Star Wars

A new set photo from the production of Star Wars: Episode IX reveals the first look at an orange X-Wing in the upcoming final installment of the sequel trilogy.

Details on the plot of the film are under wraps, however, Lucasfilm has confirmed Episode IX will serve as a conclusion to the Skywalker Saga. The latest set photo to come from MakingStarWars.net reveals an orange X-Wing outside of Pinewood Studios on the film’s set in Black Park. While it’s unclear as to which character the starfighter belongs to, the X-Wing seen in the photo is the same T-70 model utilized by the Resistance in both Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Although the Resistance X-Wings have previously featured a blue paint job, a custom X-Wing has been seen in the past as Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) flew a black and orange T-70 dubbed “Black One” before it was destroyed early on by the First Order in Episode VIII. You can check out the set photos by heading over to MakingStarWars.Net in the link below.

The film stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, Keri Russel, Matt Smith, Dominic Monaghan, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, and Mark Hamill.

Star Wars: Episode IX hits theaters December 20, 2019. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the future of the Star Wars franchise as we learn it.
