Remember Billie Lourd’s brief appearance as Lieutenant Connix in J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens? Well, most of you probably don’t, but it sounds like the actress will be back in Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is currently shooting in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

In a recent interview with Slashfilm at Paleyfest, Lourd revealed that she’ll reprise her role in the next installment of the franchise, but this time around, she’ll have more than 2 seconds of screen time. While the actress couldn’t reveal any details about her role, it’s safe to say that her scenes will involve Carrie Fisher’s General Leia.

What do you guys think? Are you looking forward to seeing more of Lourd’s Lieutenant Connix in Star Wars: Episode VIII? Sound-off your thoughts in the comment section.

Well I am looking forward to see more of her and shooting a blaster if it is possible. This is good news. Rey is great, but Episode VIII definitely needs more female presence and strong characters. My hopes is that she becomes the “Wedge Antilles” of this generation. So I am hoping to see her leading or coordinating a platoon on a mission, maybe one where Finn is supposed to be. Since she is an officer it would be awesome to see her on a command ship engaged in combat or leading a small Resistance Unit of speeders, AT-ST walkers or maybe even preparing for a deployment on a new type of Resistance AT-AT walker.
