‘Star Wars’: Galactic Nights Return To Disney Parks This Winter

Star Wars The Last Jedi Force Friday II Promo Art

As Star Wars: The Last Jedi approaches, last April’s Star Wars Galactic Nights will be making a comeback to Disney’s parks, complete with new attractions.

As the Oh My Disney blog indicates, the event will be making a comeback starting on December 16 – the day after the movie is released. Two attractions in particular – Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular and Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away – will be making their return as evening stage shows and firework events. New to the event will be an exclusive preview of 2019’s Star Wars-themed park expansion (Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge), which will be previewed at a theater within the park for one night only.

Fans who are already familiar with Star Wars can also experience the usual fun at the park – character encounters will happen, as will photo ops, Star Wars attractions that are already open will allow fans to get in and out of rides with minimal wait time, and exclusive Star Wars merchandise will be sold. So all in all, it seems like this is an experience well worth the time of the fans, particularly after they’ve finished watching the newest movie.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will rise on December 15, 2017. The movie’s cast includes Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico, Laura Dern as Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke, Domhnall Gleeson as General Armitage Hux, Benicio Del Toro as “DJ”, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, and Jimmy Vee as R2-D2.
