UPDATE: The latest set photos claiming to be for Star Wars: Episode IX have been proven false (h/t SWNN) as the set has been confirmed in a video to be the Fountain of Youth set for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides). The original story is as follows.

New Star Wars: Episode IX set photos have revealed the first look at a new location in the film.

The set photo reveals a large set of ruins engulfed in an overgrown jungle environment. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a jungle setting in set photos from Episode IX as previous leaks have from the Black Park set have revealed exteriors for a jungle location in the film. However, the newly revealed set photo features a mysterious statue in the ruins set. While not much is clear, a large black and white image is set in place of where the statue’s head would be, suggesting the statue is of a woman.

Plot details remain under wraps, however, Star Wars: Episode IX is expected to be an all-out war between the Resistance and the First Order as the franchise concludes the Skywalker Saga. You can check out the new set photo below!
