Boyega appeared outside the Houses of Parliament to speak to protestors, saying “Black people I love you, I appreciate you, today is an important day”.

“Thank you for coming out today, thank you for being here to show your support. Black people I love you, I appreciate you, today is an important day. We are fighting for our rights, we are fighting for our ability to live in freedom, we are fighting for our ability to achieve… today you guys are a visible representation of that. Thank you for coming out today, thank you for being here to show your support.”

The star has spent the last few days supporting and discussing the Black lives Matter protests. But after his speech in front of Parliament, he later spoke to protestors in Hyde Park, emotionally explaining to the crowd “Black lives have always mattered.” The Star Wars actor went on to tell protestors that they are the physical representation of supporting George Floyd.
