After they were ignored and barely referenced in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the Knights of Ren are back in the forefront. Director J.J. Abrams introduced the group in the first film of the sequel trilogy, which created a lot of mystery and intrigue among the core fan base. So it’s only natural that Abrams would bring them back for the finale in the trilogy he jumpstarted back in 2015.

In Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the trilogy’s main antagonist Kylo Ren was established as the group’s leader. However, the movie’s first official trailer hinted there might be tension between members of the group. With Abrams back at the helm, it will be fascinating to see how he explores their mythology within the realm of the Star Wars universe.

What do you think of this new live-action look of one of the Knights of Ren? How much do you think J.J. Abrams is going utilize the group in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker? Let us know in the comments below!
