Warning: this article contains potential spoilers for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Making Star Wars has published a new report in which they reveal what could be the major battle sequence featured in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
According to Making Star Wars, The Last Jedi will include a battle set on a planet called Crete which serves as the location of the new Resistance base. Previous reports described Crete as mars with snow on it but the site now suggests the world is a giant salt flat with stretches of large black volcanic rocks with lava seeping out of them.
Crete is home to a mine that was formerly used by the Rebellion as a base. The mine itself produces a gem that the Rebellion used to fund the galactic civil war against the Empire. The Resistance is now harnessing that gem not only for funds but also as a weapon.
The site claims that Crete will feature the battle including the rumored new walkers in which a squadron of B-Wings drops the gem on the walkers in an effort to destroy them. How exactly the Resistance has acquired B-Wings remain unknown as they did not possess any of the fighters in The Force Awakens but being that half of their fleet was destroyed in their first battle against The First Order, they will surely be looking to acquire new ships. A leaked photo from the set in Bolivia reveals the cockpit of a B-Wing confirming their presence in the new film.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters December 15, 2017.

‘Star Wars’: Just Who Could Be ‘The Last Jedi’?
Last month, Disney and Lucasfilm officially announced the title for the next “Skywalker Saga” Star Wars film. Episode VIII will be titled The Last Jedi. As soon as the announcement came, fans were both excited, and very interested. That’s a “cool” title, yet at the same time very vague. Even stars of the film, Mark Hamil and Daisy Ridley have been tight-lipped about what that could mean. The only response has been Hamil saying that it has a very “samurai” and “minimalist” vibe to it. Ridley only shared a meme on Facebook related to the announcement of the title.
So what does it mean? One theory is that for the new films, the titles will literally spell out a sentence summarizing the trilogy, which is interesting. The first film The Force Awakens, the next one The Last Jedi, the third…. so it could say that “The Force Awakens The Last Jedi (insert Episode 9 title).”
But we are curious as to who the last Jedi in Episode VIII could be. Of course, there are obvious answers, since the field of Jedi in the new trilogy is so limited. It’s not like the prequel trilogy where there were hundreds if not thousands of Jedi to pick and choose from.
So let’s take a look as see just who the Last Jedi could actually be. Click next to see who our choices are.
