Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi is one of the most anticipated releases of this year, and as such, many are chomping at the bit to get new information about the first teaser (which is expected to drop at Star Wars Celebration Orlando in April). A recent rumor has just been released through Twitter that mentions four characters who will be shown prominently in the new footage.
Certain rumors have floated around recently claiming that the teaser would not show Luke or Rey. However, according to Star Wars News Net’s editor-in-chief Viral Hide, he has confirmation that not only is this the opposite of what’s true, but that two other characters would be joining them:
There are rumors that Luke will not be in the first #TheLastJedi teaser. We heard the contrary. Luke, Leia, Finn and Rey will be there…

While Viral Hide claims that he’s only heard about these four characters appearing in the teaser, he definitely does not rule out the appearances of other major characters, noting that this is simply what he knows about thus far. He suspects that we’ll get another look at Kylo Ren as well.
This is all a rumor for now, but hopefully we’ll get a better idea of what Lucasfilm’s marketing plan is as we get closer to the teaser’s release. Since the teaser has been in development since last year, the odds that it will drop at the next Star Wars convention are pretty high.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released on December 15, 2017.
