‘Star Wars’: Mark Hamill Honors Carrie Fisher One Year After Her Death

Mark Hamill took to Instagram this morning to share a touching tribute to his late Star Wars co-star Carrie Fisher.

Today is the first anniversary of Carrie Fisher’s death and Mark Hamill decided to honor the actress with a quote from the latest Star Wars film, The Last Jedi, which features her final appearance as Leia. You can check out Mark Hamill’s Instagram post below.

Fisher completed her work on Rian Johnson‘s Star Wars: The Last Jedi before suffering a medical emergency during a flight from London to Los Angeles on December 23 of last year. She died four days later at the age of 60.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now playing in theaters. The movie’s cast includes Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico, Laura Dern as Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke, Domhnall Gleeson as General Armitage Hux, Benicio Del Toro as “DJ”, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, and Jimmy Vee as R2-D2.
