‘Star Wars’: Mark Hamill Honors Carrie Fisher One Year After Her Death

Star Wars Mark Hamill Luke Carrie Fisher LeiaMark Hamill took to social media this morning to share a touching tribute to his late Star Wars co-star Carrie Fisher.

Today is the first anniversary of Fisher’s death and Hamill decided to honor the actress with a quote from the latest Star Wars film, The Last Jedi, which features her final appearance as Leia.

Fisher completed her work on The Last Jedi before suffering a medical emergency during a flight from London to Los Angeles on December 23 of last year. She died four days later at the age of 60.

Written and directed by Rian Johnson, The Last Jedi also stars Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose, Gwendoline Christie as Phasma, Domhnall Gleeson as Hux and Andy Serkis as Snoke.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now playing in theaters.
