A new promo released for next week’s episode of Star Wars Rebels teases the upcoming rematch between Maul and Ben Kenobi.
Fans have been anticipating the rematch since the mid-season trailer released in January revealed the series would feature Ben Kenobi in his time on Tatooine prior to Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope as he goes up against Maul in a rematch for the ages in the episode titled “Twin Suns”. Kenobi was first teased earlier this season when Ezra and Maul shared a vision of a planet with Twin Suns after they joined both a Sith and a Jedi Holocron together.
Kenobi is voiced by Stephen Stanton who also provided the voice for characters such as Grand Moff Tarkin in The Clone Wars and most recently as Admiral Raddus in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
You can watch the promo below.
Star Wars Rebels was created by Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Sherlock Holmes), and Carrie Beck.
The series features the voice cast of Freddie Prinze Jr. as Kanan, Vanessa Marshall as Hera, Steve Blum as Zeb, Tiya Sircar as Sabine, Taylor Gray as Ezra, Dee Bradley Baker as Captain Rex, David Oyelowo as Agent Kallus, and Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn.
“Twin Suns” airs next week but the series continues tomorrow with the episode “Double Agent Droid” as Chopper and AP-5 team up to infiltrate an Imperial station in an effort to steal needed codes.
Star Wars Rebels airs Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on Disney XD.
8 Ways In Which ‘Star Wars’ Can Reach Its Full Potential
The Star Wars Universe is one of the greatest cinematic achievements of all time and the high quality of the recent films are not only proving how strong a franchise it is, but also continuing to gain legions of new fans every year. The series is fantastic and Disney’s films have brought it back in favor with both audiences and fans, but like any good franchise there are always ways in which a series can improve and as a huge fan I don’t think the series is at its full potential yet. There have been some minor issues and things that could be done differently that could make the series even greater than it already is and these can be addressed in future Star Wars films and in other mediums as well. With all of this being said it is appropriate to look at some of these issues and see how they can be addressed in a manner that could give everyone what they will want.
