‘Star Wars Rebels’: X-Wing Fighters Will Finally Appear In Season 4

Star Wars RebelsWhen Star Wars Rebels first premiered, fans got a new glimpse at the iconic galaxy far, far away during a particular time period. The series takes place between the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. It is the second official animated series that is part of the canon of the entire universe and has since introduced new characters alongside some appearances of classic characters such as Darth Vader, Darth Maul and Lando Calrissian.

Some of the franchise’s most iconic ships have appeared in the show, but fans have yet to see X-Wings appear in animated form. Thankfully, we will finally see the ships take flight in the fourth and final season of this series.

Executive Producer Henry Gilroy announced at Dragon Con that we will finally see X-Wings with our favorite Rebels. As it turned out, the reason why we have yet to see them take flight is because the Rebellion did not have them yet.

When we see the X-Wings appear on Rebels, do you think we will see any of the Ghost Crew fly them in battle? Sound off in the comments below.

Star Wars Rebels was created by Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future PastSherlock Holmes), and Carrie Beck. The Lucasfilm animated series is executive-produced by Filoni and Kinberg.

The series features the voice cast of Freddie Prinze Jr. as Kanan, Vanessa Marshall as Hera, Steve Blum as Zeb, Tiya Sircar as Sabine, Taylor Gray as Ezra, Sam Witwer as Maul, Dee Bradley Baker as Captain Rex, David Oyelowo as Agent Kallus, and Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Star Wars Rebels Season 3 is available on Blu-ray and DVD today. You can check out the full list of special features included on the home release here and also watch the trailer for Season 4 here.

Star Wars Rebels is set to return later this fall for its fourth and final season. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the future of the Star Wars franchise as we learn it.

8 ‘Star Wars’ Spin-Off Movies We Really Want To See

Previous1 of 9

Star Wars-SagaMay the 4th be with you, everyone! Even on May the 8th! With Star Wars weekend in the rear-view mirror, it’s still a great time to kick back, get out your old glow-in-the-dark lightsaber toys and Darth Vader Halloween masks, and pop in those original trilogy DVDs. Maybe even all 8 currently-released films, if you’re up for the challenge (both mental and otherwise). Speaking of which, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story just came out on Blu-ray, marking the first home release of many Star Wars spin-off movies to come.

Of these, only one future title has been confirmed – Han Solo: A Star Wars Story, to be released in May of 2018. Beyond that, we know Disney had at least two more planned, and probably more down the line. And why not? The Star Wars universe is so ripe for exploration. There are so many characters we were introduced to in the Saga movies that could easily get their own film. And it doesn’t stop there. The legacy of the Jedi and the Sith go back thousands of years, opening up virtually endless possibilities of story material.

Given this abundance of material just waiting to be tapped into, Heroic Hollywood decided to celebrate the Star Wars holiday by compiling a list of the Star Wars stand-alone movies we’d most like to see. While some of the films on this list are more likely to be developed than others, they each share one unifying factor: they’d all be freakin’ awesome!

Heroic Hollywood proudly presents the 8 ‘Star Wars’ Spin-Off Movies We Really Want To See! Click next to get started. And may the Force be with you!
