After being in theaters for over a month, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has joined the fourteen other films that have crossed $500 million at the domestic box office.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker continues to earn money at the box office despite the divisive response to the film. The last Skywalker Saga film recently crossed a billion dollars at the worldwide box office and over the weekend, reached $500 million domestically, according to Exhibitor Relations.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is the third film in the franchise to cross the $500 million mark at the domestic box office. Star Wars: The Last Jedi earned $620 million domestically while Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the highest-grossing domestic film of all-time in North America with a $936 million gross.
