‘Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’ Concept Art Reveals Completely Different Looks For Babu Frik

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker concept art reveals alternate looks for the beloved droidsmith Babu Frik.

Babu Frick was one of the standouts in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker as the droidsmith who reprogrammed C-3PO to read the ancient Sith language. The Sequel Trilogy as a whole had no shortage of cute creatures, but Babu Frik might be the best of them all in large part due to his design and the performance from Shirley Henderson.

A lot of time was spent during the production of The Rise of Skywalker trying to nail down Babu Frik’s final design. Like many creature designs, it evolved drastically throughout the creative process. Some art shared by concept designer Luke Fisher reveals a couple very different looks for Babu Frik that you can check out below:
