New ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ Empire Magazine Covers Revealed

Empire Magazine has revealed three new covers for their upcoming special issue for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. 

The three new Empire Magazine covers for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker put three different groups of characters into the spotlight. The first cover features a portion of the Sequel Trilogy’s heroes of the Resistance including Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran), Jannah (Naomi Ackie), BB-8, D-0 and Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo). The second cover features Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) along with General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher), Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams), C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) and R2-D2.

The third Empire Magazine cover will certainly get fans of the Dark Side excited. Here, we see Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) front-and-center with the Knights of Ren right behind them as they prepare to battle alongside the First Order against the Resistance in the war to end all wars. The Empire Magazine Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker issue will hit stores on Thursday November 28. It will include exclusive images, interviews, a bonus magazine for the Skywalker Saga and a collectible limited-edition art card of “Dark Rey”.

Directed by J. J. Abrams, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, Keri Russell, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Ian McDiarmid, and Billy Dee Williams. Carrie Fisher will appear as General Leia Organa through the use of previously unreleased footage shot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be released in theaters on December 20, 2019.

DC Universe Debuts ‘Doom Patrol’ Character Posters

Doom PatrolAlong with the premiere of the first teaser for Doom Patrol, DC Universe also debuted a collection of character posters for each of the members of perhaps the strangest team of characters to be adapted in live-action form for DC Comics.

In particular, these new character posters highlight Timothy Dalton's The Chief, Diane Guerrero's Crazy Jane, Joivan Wade's Cyborg, April Bowlby's Elasti-Woman, Matt Bomer's Negative Man and Brendan Fraser's Robotman. These posters each follow unique designs that reflect the nature of each character and tease unique personalities amongst the group as well.
