It has been revealed that potential Star Wars writer and director J.D. Dillard had a cameo appearance in J.J. Abrams’ The Rise of Skywalker.
On Friday, it was reported that a new Star Wars project has been put in development from J.D. Dillard and Matt Owens. This Star Wars project is said to be different from Rian Johnson and Kevin Feige’s films, as the 2022 film remains a mystery. J.D. Dillard is best known for directing Sleight and Sweetheart.
As it turns out, J.D. Dillard also already has a history with the Star Wars franchise. J.D. Dillard was involved with Star Wars: The Force Awakens by watching dallies on set. J.D. Dillard also made a cameo appearance as the stormtrooper FN-1226 in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. In the film, J.D. Dillard was one of the First Order stormtroopers who was Jedi mind-tricked by Rey.
