‘Stargirl’ Reveals Her Plan In New Trailer For The DC Universe Series

The CW released a new action-packed trailer for DC Universe’s Stargirl in which Courtney Whitmore lays out her three-point plan.

DC Universe’s next original series will be Stargirl, which stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitemore and Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan. Much like their comic book counterparts, Luke Wilson’s Pat Dugan will serve as a mentor and protector to Brec Bassinger’s Stargirl after the latter discovers the Cosmic Staff among the former’s belongings.

Now, The CW has released a new Stargirl that focuses on the dynamic between Brec Bassinger’s Courtney Whitemore and Luke Wilson’s Pat Dugan. In the preview, Dugan insists on forming a plan before Whitemore becomes a superhero, prompting the young heroine to outline her three-point plan that boils down to finding her foes and taking them down.

Here is the official synopsis for Stargirl:

High school sophomore Courtney Whitmore who inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new DC Universe series reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in a fun, exciting and unpredictable series premiering in 2019, produced by Warner Bros. Television, Mad Ghost Productions and Berlanti Productions.

Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitemore, Joel McHale as Starman,  Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan, and Meg DeLacy as Cindy Burman. The series also stars Amy Smart, Trae Romano, Cameron Gellman, Yvette Monreal, Anjelika Washington, Meg DeLacy, Neil Jackson, Jake Austin Walker, Christopher James Baker, and Hunter Sansone. Geoff Johns will write and executive produce the 13-episode first season of Stargirl while Sarah Schechter and Arrowverse boss Greg Berlanti will also serve as executive producers on the series.

Stargirl is scheduled to premiere on DC Universe on May 18, 2020, before airing on The CW on May 19 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
