The mid-season finale of Stephen Amell’s Arrow laid the groundwork for the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event.
With Crisis on Infinite Earths set to begin this weekend, Stephen Amell’s Arrow was the final series in the Arrowverse left to set up the highly-anticipated crossover. In last night’s midseason finale of the Stephen Amell series, the current and future versions of Team Arrow were primarily located on island Lian Yau, where they were tasked with building a weapon capable of saving the heroes who could stop the impending crisis. However, the weapon was coded to Lyla’ DNA to ensure she is the only one who can operate the device.
After Lyla turns the weapon on and disappears through a portal, Stephen Amell’s Green Arrow begins to say his goodbyes to his teammate and seemingly reconciles with Mia. Suddenly, the sky begins to turn red and Lyla returns as Harbinger to inform Stephen Amell’s’ Green Arrow and the rest of the team that the Crisis has officially begun.
