The final season of Stephen Amell’s Arrow will feature a return appearance by Byron Mann as Yao Fei Gulong.
When Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen was trapped on the island of Lian Yu, the future vigilante studied archery under the guidance of fellow strandee Yao Fei Gulong. While the two became friends during their time together on the island, Yao Fei Gulong was murdered by Edward Fyers in the first season of Arrow.
In spite of Yao Fei Gulong’s death, ComicBook.com reports Byron Mann will reprise his role as the master archer in the final episodes of Stephen Amell’s Arrow. Details on how or why Byron Mann’s Yao Fei Gulong will return are currently unknown, though considering Arrow will conclude this fall with a ten-episode eighth season, it is understandable that characters from the past of Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen will be making one final appearance before the series ends.
Here is the official synopsis for the final season of Stephen Amell’s Arrow:
After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. In the wake of discovering what his future holds, Oliver will find himself pit against his most challenging battle yet, one that will leave the multiverse hanging in the balance. In Arrow’s final season, Oliver Queen is forced to confront the reality of what it means to be a hero.
