Arrow stars Stephen Amell and David Ramsey hinted at what to expect for Oliver Queen, John Diggle, and Laurel Lance in the final season.
The final season of Arrow begins next month and fans are curious to see how the creative team will conclude the Stephen Amell series. Anticipation for the last season of Arrow is only heightened by the fact that it will lead into the long-awaited Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, which could see Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen meet his demise based on hints from last year’s Elseworlds event.
While the previous season of Arrow concluded with Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen being recruited by the Monitor to help save the multiverse, David Ramsey told Entertainment Weekly that the Emerald Archer won’t be alone when the series resumes. As David Ramsey explained, Arrow season 8 will begin and conclude with John Diggle and Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen by each other’s side:
“Diggle is as he should be, at Oliver’s side. That’s how we begin this season. And ultimately, that’s how we end it.”
Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen and David Ramsey’s John Diggle will be joined by Katie Cassidy Rodgers’ Earth-2 Laurel Lance, who became an ally in the previous season after initially being introduced as an adversary. According to Stephen Amell, much of the final season will feature the trio in a way viewers have not have seen on Arrow before:
“Their dynamic is incredible. A good chunk of what we’re doing will be with the three of them in a way that they haven’t been before.”
