Stephen Amell Would Like To Play The Riddler On The Big Screen

Ever since we first heard that Ben Affleck’s The Batman may feature a wide variety of classic Batman rogues, fans have been speculating about which ones will end up making an appearance in the movie and which actors will get to portray them on the big screen. We’re obviously going to find out at some point in the future, but seeing as the project is still in early stages of development, there’s nothing we can do but take guesses for now until we get more solid details on the movie.

While doing the press rounds for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, Arrow star Stephen Amell spoke with CinemaPop and revealed the one comic book character that he’d like to play on the big screen if he ever got the chance:

“I always get this question. I think all the superheroes are taken now. I’ll play The Riddler, okay? It’s a villain, but I like The Riddler.”

This isn’t actually the first time that Amell has expressed interest in possibly playing The Riddler, but it’s safe to say that we’re never going to see that happen for many reasons including his commitment to Arrow. The Riddler made his big screen debut in 1995’s Batman Forever, where he was played by Jim Carrey, but it’s currently unknown whether or not we’ll ever get to see him again in another movie. What do you guys think? Would you like to see him in The Batman? Sound-off your thoughts in the comment section.
