In a recent Twitter post from Green Arrow himself, Stephen Amell, the Arrowverse headliner said that he’d ship his DC hero and fellow Arrowverse hero Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), a.k.a. The Flash.
If you don’t know what it means to “ship” people or fictional characters, it means to match them up in essentially a fan-made relationship. Almost any movie or show has a fanbase that’s shipping characters, even with stuff like The Office or Parks and Recreation. The CW’s Arrowverse is no exception to this and there have been plenty of fans who have wanted to see Green Arrow and Flash connect on a more intimate level.
Arrow star Stephen Amell recently posted a behind-the-scenes photo, via Twitter, of him and The Flash star Grant Gustin hugging while filming a scene together. If you’ve followed Amell on social media and have seen him discuss working with Gustin, there’s definitely a Bromance going on, which is good when you have to work with someone so consistently for years, as these Arrowverse stars do. Check out the photo and post from Amell below.

Although this is far from a confirmation that we’ll see something like this happening on the small screen, it’s nice to see Amell so supportive of fan-made ships such as this one. Although there is plenty of other shipping done within the Arrowverse, The Flash and Green Arrow are the shows that created the Arrowverse as we know it.
