Steve Trevor Arrives In Themyscira In New ‘Wonder Woman’ Set Photos

Wonder Woman Set

She made her wonderful  (pun intended) in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but that was only the beginning for Gal Gadot as she portrays Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman, one of the most iconic female heroes in the DC Universe. A solo Wonder Woman, with Patty Jenkins directing, is currently filming and getting close to wrapping production. Thanks to the Daily Mail, we have new set photos featuring Gal Gadot as Diana Prince as she meets Steve Trevor (played by Chris Pine) for the first time at what is meant to be Themyscira, Wonder Woman’s home world. This is how they also met for the first time in the comic books as Steve got stranded at Themyscira so logn time Wonder Woman fans should be quite excited about this.

While they don’t say where it is taking place exactly, they are shooting at an Italian beach. We also see several soldiers having made their way onto Themyscira as well, which doesn’t sit well with the Amazons as we see a conflict rise. One of the Amazons featured in these photos does resemble the DC Comics character Artemis, a supporting character in the Wonder Woman mythology, but whether or not this is actually her, remains to be seen. So far, no one has been reported to be playing this role in the film. Check out all the images below.

Patty Jenkin’s Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya and Lucy Davis, opens in theaters on June 23, 2017.

If you mean the one in #15 (horseback, blonde, bow in hand), she seems to be Robin Wright’s character, Antiope. The costume looks exactly the same as the one she had in WW first promotional picture.

I assume your forgot the word ‘debut’ in that sentence.

  • Holy crap, there’s more daytime shots, this movie is in the daytime. Has Zack seen this?? Does he know this is possible, without green screening it?

    • Hinscher

MoS is pretty much completely daytime. Only scene in nighttime on Earth I believe is the time when Zod was talking through the TV’s.

      • I was being sarcastic, after Batman v Superman.

Too bad you weren’t being accurate.

I’m really excited to see DC characters portrayed by directors other than Zack Snyder. I loved MoS and BvS, but we do need some diversity of tone and vision for these movies.

If you’re thinking the Amazon riding the black horse is Artemis I think you got it wrong: that seems to be Robin Wright’s General Antiope ( or her stunt double) because you can see the costume is exactly the same Wright is wearing in the promotional picture. BTW, she looks badass and sexy.
