Brett Gelman has been promoted to series regular for the fourth season of Netflix’s Stranger Things.
The second season of Netflix’s Stranger Things introduced viewers to Brett Gelman’s Murray Bauman, a former journalist who had been hired by the Holand family to investigate the disappearance of their daughter, Barb. In the following season, Brett Gelman’s Murray Bauman returned to assist Joyce Byers and Jim Hopper as a translator for the Russian scientist they kidnapped and he later played a key role in closing the portal to the Upside Down.
Now, Brett Gelman will reprise his role as Murray Bauman in the fourth season of Stranger Things, this time as a series regular. In addition to his role in Stranger Things, Brett Gelman is also known for playing characters in the award0winning series Fleabag, HBO’s Camping, and Netflix’s Love.

Here is the official synopsis for the third season of Stranger Things:
“It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer’s heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.”
