While responding to fan questions on social media for a GQ video, Stranger Things star Dacre Montgomery expressed his interest in playing Jason Todd/Red Hood under a certain condition.

Warner Bros. and DC are currently developing a number of projects based on their heroes and villains, though many fans are hoping to one day see Jason Todd/Rd Hood appear in a live-action feature film. In fact, one fan proposed Stranger Things star Dacre Montgomery would be the ideal actor to portray Jason Todd/Red Hood, an idea the man himself expressed some interest in if the character was featured in a cinematic universe outside of the ones that have already been established:

“I don’t know. I feel like I’m at an interesting point where I’m enjoying seeing the universes come to an end and other ones begin, but I would really love to play outside of the world that’s so prominant, I guess, in cinemas a the moment. Which is just origin stories of amazing superheroes that we love. I’d love to dive into a different world that we don’t know, that we aren’t given a lot of both in televison format and in cinema.”

In the comics, Jason Todd is the second character to take on the Robin mantle after Dick Grayson’s departure. However, Jason Todd becomes Red Hood after being resurrected following a fatal encounter with the Joker.

Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.”
